Monday

Axel Clean and Jerk:  some reps with some weight.

Farmer's Carry: 20 yards x 200 lbs. x 4

In case you are unfamiliar with the axel, it is a 2" thick hollow bar.  It weighs about 35 lbs.  The main purpose is to make your grip and shoulders work harder since your hand is more spread out.

Farmer's carries require specially made cylinders with handles attatched that can be loaded with weight.  You then pick them up and walk for a specified distance.  Imagine a farmer carrying two calves by the scruff to the slaughter house.  Simple as that.  The 200 lbs. is 200lbs. in each hand for 400 lbs. total.

Good day today.  Got a sweat going.  Handled some heavyish weights.  Got out in about an hour.  Boom.

Song of the Day:

“Forgive, O Lord, my little jokes on Thee, and I'll forgive Thy great big joke on me.” -Robert Frost
